While they did not signal Bud Dupree, the Pittsburgh Steelers did make a notable roster addition on Friday. The staff claimed former Jets punter and former sixth-round choose Braden Mann off waivers (h/t ESPN). Mann was launched by New York in the future earlier.
Mann had served because the Jets punter since his rookie season again in 2020. That season, he led the NFL in punts and complete punting yards. He performed in all 17 video games final season after lacking seven with accidents in 2021. Mann punted 83 occasions final season and averaged a career-high 46.9 yards per punt.
Mann was on borrowed time in New York after the staff’s latest signing of veteran Thomas Morstead. The Jets reportedly shopped Mann, however launched him after not discovering a commerce companion.
