Jeff Molina is talking out after a personal, intimate video of him was leaked on-line on Thursday. Molina got here out on Friday as the primary overtly bisexual male fighter on the roster.
Molina, 25, launched an announcement on Friday in response to the leaked video. Molina, who has staunchly advocated and stood up for LGBTQIA+ previously, was disillusioned that he was stripped of the power to inform his personal story. Molina didn’t intend to reveal his sexuality at this level in his profession due to anticipated adverse suggestions.
“Welp… this f—ing sucks,” Molina wrote. “Not the best way I needed to do that, however the likelihood to do it once I was prepared was taken from me. I’ve tried to maintain my relationship life personal from social media. I’ve dated women my entire life and suppressed emotions I had all through highschool on the wrestling crew, all through school pursuing MMA, and even after making a part of the dream occur and stepping into the UFC.
“I’m a reasonably masculine dude and that bro-y banter and sus[pect] humorousness has at all times been how I’m. [The] considered my buddies, teammates and other people I look as much as me completely different, not to mention treating me completely different, for one thing I am unable to management was one thing I could not fathom. Molina closed his assertion by shunning the one that leaked the video and thanking those that proceed to assist him.
“To the terrible disturbed individual that determined to publish this, I hope it was price it,” Molina wrote. “At the top of the day, I do know my character, morals, and who I’m as an individual. As a lot as I’m getting hated [and] shitted on, I’m getting an equal quantity of assist and it means a f— ton.”
Molina is at present going through a suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for his alleged position in a betting scheme involving his coach James Krause.
